Marijuana “Less” March: Is it time to reflect on your use?

In Canada, cannabis use is legal and so is growing it (in most places). Legalization definitely opened some doors for easier access to products to help with pain, anxiety and a variety of other ailments CBD and THC can assist with.

That said, there is still little talk that marijuana can be an addictive substance. The topic is somewhat taboo, as I’ve heard countless times that “marijuana is not addictive”. It may be different in the sense of other substances, but too much of anything can be a bad thing and even a psychological dependence can be overwhelming.

When people don’t hear or talk about a reliance on marijuana, they feel something is wrong with them. This is especially true when most of the stories you hear are about the life changing benefits.

The reality of marijuana is that some people will become reliant on it without meaning to and there are times a decrease in use can be more difficult than anticipated. It can be utilized as a mind-altering substance for creativity and relaxation, but it can also be a method of avoidance.

I’ve been reading a lot about sobriety on Medium, but while there’s an abundance of writing on recovery from alcohol addiction, I’ve found precious little from those abstaining from cannabis.

I’m working on scaling…

That rings so many bells. Weed, especially the one with a high percentage of THC in it, is indeed addictive.
